Prasagraj: Ten cases of newly dengue fever were reported in the city on Monday, taking a count of up to 309 so far.
Every seventh person in the district has been tested positively for dengue fever in the district until now.
According to the Ministry of Health, 1900 samples were tested on Monday, where 309 was positive.
New cases reported from Teliyarga, Myurabad, Shantipuram, Dhoonangaj, Bhola Ka Purva, Jhunsi, Katju Colony, Badia Bagia (TeliyargaJ) and Pratappur.
Of the 309 cases, 227 cases were reported from urban areas, and 82 breaks of the Trans Ganga and Yamuna rustic bags.
Malaria District Officer (DMO) Prayagraj Ak Singh told the Toi that the Prayagraj District established the eighth in the country regarding Dengue cases, while Firozabad, with more than 4,500 cases standing more than 4,500.
However, he said things were controlled in the district despite having the highest population in the state.
He claimed that from 309 patients, 301 had recovered, while five patients were still being treated at the hospital.
The city only reported one bloody death so far.
“We have focused on anti-larval sprays and exercises being carried out in Shivkuti, Govindpur, Naini, Arail, PAC Colony, Om Gayatri Nagar, Shiv Mandir, Lig Colony, Colony Income Tax, Deverhere CMP, Chaudhary Colle, Chota Baghara, and Regions Other areas are side by side, “said the Ministry of Health officials.
To check the spread of dengue fever, the health team also interacts with residents, especially from regions that report more than five cases in two weeks, and attract them to take precautions to viral diseases born by mosquitoes.
Ironically, the increase in the number of cases has been detected in urban areas because more than a dozen urban pockets have turned into a safe hub for mosquito breeding.
