Ahmedabad: Ambitious target for making 100 DIYAS crores from cow dung has been set for this celebration season as part of the campaign ‘Kamdhenu Deepawali’, supported by the government union government.
Last year, Rashtriya Kamdhenu Aayog who was now dead had started ambitious exercises empowering cattle entrepreneurs and 40 crore Diya was created and sold on the target of 11 crores.
With more cattle entrepreneurs who join, the target of making 100 DIYAS crore from cow dung has been conceived for future celebration seasons.
Vallabhbhai Kathiria, former Chairman of Rashtriya Kamdhenu Aayog, held a national webinar on Sunday, launched a campaign Kamdhenu Deepawali.
Minister of Fisheries & Farmers Parshottam Rupala participated in an interesting event for cattle entrepreneurs from all over the country.
“We promote Khadi products around Gandhi Jayanti.
In the same way, we must come with designated days around Diwali, when all must be encouraged to buy ‘Gomaya’ products throughout India,” Rupala said.
Kathiria said that over the past few months, many interests have been produced among farmers, unemployed people, self-help groups, youth entrepreneurs and women in cow dung-based startups.

Ajit Prasad Mahapatra, who has promoted cattle-based entrepreneurship throughout the country, suggested the opening of Gaushalas in prison where the product was made using Panchgavya.
