Lucknow: With 13 people test positive for Coronavirus novel on Saturday, the number of new Covid-19 cases in the city in a day crosses two digits for the first time in four and a half months.
Of the 13, two patients recently traveled to other countries in this country.
Previously, 17 cases were recorded in one day in August.
After that, during the last 135 days, the daily cases remained below 10.
Among 13 new cases, three came from Lda Colony at Kanpur Road, each of Rahimnagar, Indiranagar and Mahanagar, and one of the New Hyderabad , Rajajipuram and Krishi Bhawan Road.
Three cases from Lda Colony are in the same family.
A member of a family from the family had been tested positive on October 12 after he returned from Punjab where he went to attend the wedding.
Health officials have tested the whole family and according to the report released on Saturday, three more members have contracted infection.
Likewise, someone’s family member, who has tested Covid Positive earlier, was found infected in the new Hyderabad.
Among other cases, a man who recently traveled to Jammu, and others who visited Haryana were tested positively.
Furthermore, the other five found infected have been tested themselves because they plan to visit other countries.
Two other patients have been tested after experiencing symptoms such as light influenza.
Chief Medical Officer (CMO) Dr.
Manoj Agarwal said that all patients were in house isolation.
“The patient is being monitored through the integrated Covid Command and Control Center (ICCAC) and the sample has been sent to the genome sequencing to Kgmu,” he added.
Meanwhile, 24,798 individuals were vaccinated against Covid-19 in Lucknow on Saturday.
While 17,324 took their second shot, 7.474 got the first.
