13 years of female lions died of kidney failure at my zoo

Vadodara: After being unhealthy for the last 14 days, ‘Gael’, a 13-year-old female lion in Majibaug Zoo died suddenly on Sunday morning due to kidney failure.
“The lion of the female lion suffered an injury on his face about two weeks ago.
I have noticed a little change in his behavior and so I have asked the staff to check it and immediately start treating the injury,” said Pratyush Patankar, Zoo Curator.
However, when Gael did not show a lot of improvement in his health, Patankar contacted the veterinary campus Anand who sent a team to check out big cats.
“Small surgery was carried out on November 11 after he started eating solid food again.
The test revealed that his creatinine level was very high at that time, but he still survived.
On Saturday, the female lion consumed chicken but gave up on Sunday morning.
