Patna: More than 1,300 metric tons (MT) of potassium-based fertilizers worth Rs 2.27 Crore, stored in private facilities in Kataru Chak-Mohammadpur Village under the Belsar Police post in the Vaishali District, allegedly sold in the black market.
Fertilizers are produced by Mosaic, a company based in the US.
Fertilizers are intended for bidding to farmers throughout the upper state of subsidized and the government should pay US companies for it.
Storage facilities are owned by local private companies.
According to complaints of US companies, copies with TOI, they first got clues about playing cheating in August this year.
Representatives from the company complained that fertilizer was stolen from failure and sold in the black market.
Overall 2,761MT fertilizer was sent to the failure with a train on December 2020 from the port in India.
US company representatives met Vaishali SP (inches) Ashok Kumar Singh in his office on Saturday night to peek into Cemal after complaints they were allegedly not accepted at the Belsar police post.
SP then directs the conscious SDPO Raghav Dayal to investigate this problem and take the necessary actions.
Dayal told Ti by telephone on Tuesday that representatives from US companies were asked to file a written complaint on Wednesday in Belsar.
“Because they have submitted a photocopy of a complaint letter to SP, the FIR cannot be registered,” Dayal said.
Vaishali Dao A K Jha said one Pankaj Singh and his wife had a warehouse where US companies kept their fertilizer to supply among farmers through wholesalers and retailers.
“US companies complained that more than 1,300mt potassium-based fertilizers were sold in the black market.
I serve notifications on the PANKAJ twice and asked him to check stock.
Reply to the first notice, the Pankaj said he had tested positive Covid.
He has so far not answered the second notification, “Jha added.
