Jaipur: There is no pause from the increasing case of Covid-19 in the city, with 88 people testing positive viruses in the last 24 hours.
Of these, 13 was reported from the district prison at Ghat Gate in Jaipur.
The country also witnessed the largest one-day surge in omicron cases on Wednesday with 23 people who tested positively against the new strain of viruses.
Overall, some 131 people were also found infected by Covid in the state.
The active case, meanwhile, violated the 500 mark and touched 527.
In just 48 hours, gate gate prison in Jaipur reported 21 cases, all inmates.
None of the staff found infected by the virus.
However, the Ministry of Health officials collected samples from staff on Wednesday.
“We are searching for contacts because cases have been found from prison,” said Dr.

The first case of prison was found after several inmates in Barak complained about flu-like symptoms like cold and coughing.
“We did a prisoner’s sampling after they reported Covid’s symptoms two days ago.
We found eight inmates infected by the virus on Tuesday,” said Dr.
Dinesh, Nodal, Covid Care Center, Districs Jail.
Medical staff at prison pharmacies swung actions and isolate eight cases from other inmates.
They conducted contact from eight and collected a sample of 27 other inmates.
“We received a test report of 27 samples taken from prisoners and, from them, 13 found infected today,” said Dr.
Pilakan.
During the first wave, prison reported a large number of Covid cases and authorities started the Covid treatment center.
The same center is now used to isolate infected prisoners.
The health care staff of the prison pharmacy is caring for 21 patients.
According to the doctor, they all have mild symptoms and none of them have complications.
Officials said that, at present, prison has 450 inmates and they oversee their health and collect random samples.
