Kolkata: Karkota Kolkata Airport and CISF and BCA officials participated in freedom to run on the commemoration of the birth of Mahatma Gandhi and Lal Bahadur Shastri on Saturday.
Organized by the subhas international airport Subhas Chandra Bose in Kolkata, the event was part of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav where AAI, CISF, BCAS employees and other stakeholders from the airport participated enthusiastically.
“Today’s run is intended to promote fitness and create awareness among all.
For better tomorrow we have to move towards a lifestyle that is physically active,” said Airport Director C Pattabhi.
Fit India Freedom Run 2.0 is the initiative of the Ministry of Youth and Sports Affairs.
The event was marked after a flower tribute to Mahatma Gandhi on his birth warnings.
Shri C Pattabhi, along with AAI, CISF officials and airlines join the passengers in remembering Gandhi, the nation’s father.
Then, Tokyo Lovlina Borghain Olympic medal boxer joined the Kolkata airport authority in paying tribute to Mahatma Gandhi at the commemoration of his birth.
