14 Dead Alcohol Poisoning in Russia

Moscow: Fourteen people have died of alcohol poisoning in Russia, said Friday officials, with researchers launching a criminal probe.
Eight additional people were hospitalized in the Orenburg area, around 1,500 kilometers (930 miles) southeast of Moscow in the South Ural.
“Until now we know 22 victims, 14 of them have died,” said the governor’s office about the message application telegram.
Governor Denis Pasler said regional authorities had launched an alcohol distributor inspection.
“Before the results of the examination receive alcohol consumption can threaten your life,” Pasler said as quoted.
The Orenburg branch of the Investigation Committee said that on Friday it has opened five probes included in the sale of goods that do not meet safety standards.
Three people have been held in connection with death.
One of them – a 29-year-old man from Orsk City – is suspected of producing replacement alcohol, investigators said in a statement.
The workshop that produces alcohol has also been found.
Homemade spirits and household products containing popular alcohol throughout the former Soviet Union as a cheap alternative for standard brands, but also blamed for a large number of alcohol-related deaths.
Those who buy it for drinking are usually most socially unlucky.
In 2016, dozens of people died in the city of Siberia Irkutsk after taking the essence of bathing containing methanol, the toxic substances used in anti-frozen.
