Vadodara: For the second day in a row, the city of Vadodara and the countryside are registered with 14 new Covid-19 cases on Sundays.
Positive cases were detected from 4,316 samples tested in the last 24 hours.
New cases have been reported from Gotri, Atladara, Bhayli, Tandalja, Siyabaug, Jetalpur, Fatehpura, Ramdevnagar, Manjalpur, Gorwa and Makarpura region in the city.
West Zone of Vadodara Municipal Corporation (VMC), from which seven patients have been tested positively, has registered a maximum new case followed by each of each in the East, North and South Zone of VMC.
Vadodara Rural has seen the addition of a new case.
Doctors in the city said that the Covid-19 case increased due to the celebration season and the holiday period was released from the ongoing wedding season where the gathering increased.
“Unlike March-April, when people religiously participated in the Covid-19 protocol, wearing the right mask, following the social blasphemy norms and the right use of cleaners, now gatherings occur without the Covid-19 protocol,” said Dr.

Since the beginning of the pandemic, Vadodara Rural has contributed the highest number of cases -26,804 of 72,425.
This was attended by 12,134 cases from the West Zone, 11,875 cases from the South Zone, 11,862 in the North Zone case and 9,714 cases from the East Zone.
