MySuru: District Health Authority has distributed 14,000 health kits to positive Covid patients who are quarantined in their homes during the third wave.
Although new mutations from the Covid virus are contagious, it does not cause a lot of damage to the health of infected individuals.
As a result, most of them took care in their homes.
To help them, the Ministry of Health has given them kits containing vitamin C tablets, cough and tablet syrup, and masks.
The number of cases increased over the past 10 days.
On average, the level of progress has floated around 30% with positive cases crossing a 1.5K sign every day.
Recently, the Ministry of Health cleaned nearly 7K backlog cases that lead to bursts in the number of positive cases for three-four days during the previous weekend and earlier this week.
On Wednesday, 16,238 active cases remained in the district.
According to the Ministry of Health, around 97% of infected people are in house isolation.
Among active cases, almost 2,000 are children.
Less than 2% of people are in the covid treatment center or hospitalized.
The condition is less than 0.5% of moderate patients to severe.
They are oxygen to support.
Fortunately, nothing is in the ventilator.
District Health Officers Dr KH Prasad said the health kit was given to positive patients either by Asha workers or staff who visited the house as soon as they were tested positively.
