Thiruvananthapuram: The 15-day cleaning drive has begun in the Thiruvananthapuram division from the South Railway.
This is a part of the train that observes Swachhata Pakhwada 2021 – a cleanliness campaign of 15 days throughout the country.
As part of a campaign, special cleanliness drive, conscious campaign, inspection is being carried out at all train stations, special trains, field units, and railroad buildings.
This campaign began at the Thiruvananthapuram division on Thursday with the Swachhata administration promised by R Mukund, Divisional Railway Manager (DRM) at the Thycaud office.
P T Benny, additional division train manager (ADRM) and Aastha Sneha, mechanical engineer senior division, officers and staff present on that occasion.
Likewise the promise was given at all stations, the division field unit with staff participation.
Later the tree will be planted in the Division office complex by DRM and ADRM.
Masks and facial cleaners are also distributed among field staff and safai karamcharis.
Drive cleansers in various places are held.
