Pune: Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) has initiated actions against illegal firecrackers throughout civilian region.
A total of 15 illegal stalls were destroyed on the first day of the trip on Wednesday.
Madhav Jagtap, Head of the PMC’s anti-encroachment department, said, “These kiosks are not only illegal, but also fire hazards.
They can cause accidents and place people’s lives in danger.
PMC starts a special drive this week and will continue for some Next week.
“According to data with PMC, 181 locations have been completed below its limits to prepare the authorized kiosk.
PMC usually gives permission to set kiosks in the open plot, such as public pages and convenience rooms.
Officials of fire departments have also begun steps to divert permits based on direction issued by the Bombay High Court.
They aim to reduce the number of kiosks at risk locations and increase overall fire security.
