Gurugram: Authority Development of Metropolitan Gurugram (GMDA) will build a cycle of 15 km from Effco Chowk to Jalan Extension Golf course, costs around Rs 12.88 Crore.
According to officials, this project was placed at a core planning cell meeting held recently and was approved by the Chief Executive Officer GMDA.
In accordance with the plan, the cycle line will start from IFFCO Chowk and end up on the Road extension of the golf course as a large number of people riding a bicycle on this route every day.
Officials said that work on the project would begin immediately after completing the route alignment.
Officials added that if the cycle lane was built on the road the golf course then it will also be connected with the cycle path that will be built from IFFCO Chowk to the Southern Peripheral Road (SPR) through Sector-27, 28, 42 and 43.
With this, both roads too Will be associated with each other, because which cyclists will get a safe route to go from one way to another.
It should be noted to mention that the mobility plan has been prepared by GMDA to improve the traffic system in the city and reduce pollution.
In this initiative, GMDA aims to build 800 km of the cycle lane on the city road in 2035.
Officials said that this work would be done in stages.
GMDA has so far a cycle path that was built from the Marg Subhash Netaji, Udyog Vihar Road, MDI Chowk to Atul Kataria Chowk and Rejangla Chowk to the border of Obwasan.
So far, about 50 km of cycle lanes have been built in the city, including these routes.
“A cycle track will be built from IFFCO Chowk to the golf course extension.
This song will be 15 km long.
Only the cyclist will be permitted on it.
The construction will be charged around Rs 12.88 Crore,” said Senior GMDA officials)
