Gurgaon: The MCG survey has found that 16 of the 44 ATM Air installed in the area does not work.
Officials said that the purpose of installing ATM Air was to provide drinking water with affordable rates in public places and also earn income by displaying advertisements at ATM Air.
The survey also found that no ads were shown in 14 of the 16 ATMs, which were not operational.
The Civic body has now decided to cancel the contract of two companies, which was given a contract to manage ATM Air.
“The purpose of the ATM Air does not meet because it has been decided to cancel the MCG outsourcing company contract to install and manage ATM Air.
Further action plans for ATM Air will be decided and the action will be taken,” said Madhusmita Moitra, MCG City Planner.
According to the MCG survey report, the Air ATM that does not function includes ATMs installed in sector 14 which opposite Apollo Healthcare, Vatika Business Park in Sector 49, near Bensah Bharat Pump in Sector 47, Rajiv Chowk, Bhakawar Chowk, Cyber Park, Center The city of Huda, near Medanta Medicity, Sector 38 near Shriram Sharnam, opposite from sector 33, rezang La Chowk, Sheetla eye temple, sector 23 and 23A road separator and three ATM Air again installed at Badshahpur Chowk.
The 28 remaining ATMs are found in working conditions, said MCG officials.
The problem of ATM Water lying dead was also discussed at the MCG home meeting held on Monday.
It was discussed in a meeting that the ATM of water that worked was also not used correctly and people hardly took water from this ATM.
A board member also suggested meeting that the ATM Air location must be changed since he said that the ATM of water in places such as golf roads was almost not used.
