Jaipur: Two children died while the other three fell ill because of alleged food poisoning in the capital city of Rajasthan in Jaipur, police said on Thursday.
The incident occurred in the galla gate area where four children and their mother’s grandmother had tea and toast in the restaurant and began to vomit.
They were taken to hospital for treatment, the Gate Gate Satish police station said Chandra.
Aslam (12) and Sofia (3) were declared to be taken dead, and two other children stable and undergo treatment, said JK Hospital Supervisor Lon Drukla.
The children’s grandmother also underwent treatment at the hospital, police officer said.
The exact reason for death will be known after post-mortem reports.
