Palanpur: An electric woman and daughter stung while drying clothes on metal wire in their homes in the village of Bapla Dhanera Taluka in the Banskantha district on Tuesday.
The deceased was identified as a Luhar Pyariben (48) and his daughter Ranjan (22).
According to the police, the incident occurred when Ranjan dried clothes on metal wire in the house.
The police said that the loose wire of the ceiling fan had touched the metal wire where the clothes were inserted dry.
First Ranjan was stung and heard him scream, his mother came to save him.
But he was also electrocuted.
“Both of them, women and daughters, die in place before they can be saved,” said Sub-Inspector of Police K Desai.
Pyariben Ragabhai’s husband is agricultural workers.
