Rajkot: A man hired a professional criminal to kidnap his brother-in-law and his business partner on the alleged non-payment of Rs 1.25 Crore.
Two traders, who were kidnapped from Sarkhej at Ahmedabad on Tuesday, were saved by Rajkot police on Thursday.
According to the police, the trader of Jintan Bharat Patel and his partner Path Patel – the two unja residents were kidnapped when they went to give the spice consignment in Sarkhej.
Bharat and Parth talked to a trader when five people arrived at the place and forcibly dragged both in their cars.
Then, abduction violations were registered at the Sarkhej police station.
“The kidnappers took the victims from Bhavnagar to Jamnagar on Thursday morning when Bharat saw a vehicle patrolling near the Mahika Village.
He jumped from the kidnappers and asked for help,” Deputy Commissioner of Police Zone-1 Manoharsharh Jadeja told reporters.
Seeing the police, the kidnappers tried to escape.
The van police patrol led by Constable Rajesh Jadu chased the kidnappers and saved the part.
The driver of the car, which was identified as Javed Chira (35) was arrested.
The rest of the kidnappers traveled with other cars.
The police managed to peel one of them, Nadeem Sura, while others managed to escape.
During the police interrogation it was revealed that Brother-in-law Bharat Prabhudas Patel, a resident of Jamnagar, has hired the kidnappers.
The police said that Prabhudas demanded that the share of RS 1.25 Crore from the business agreement.
But Bharat had resolved this problem by giving him Rs 25 Lakh.
The first accusation took the victims to Bhavangar where they were captured in a farmhouse.
From there they headed to Jamnagar and were intercepted by the police.
