20 children between 25 deaths because of fever in Agra in a week

Agra: At least 20 of the 25 people who died of high fever with dengue-like symptoms in Agra Regency for the past week are children, according to health authorities here.
Among them, five children under the age of 15 died in the last 24 hours.
In the past month, more than 250 cases of dengue fever have been confirmed in Agra Regency and 52 of the 65 people who died in the district were children, said the Ministry of Health officials.
High fever incidents do not only amounted to victims in patients but also stretch the government medical facility to break the point.
People in rural areas are the worst devastated because the medical facilities managed by the government in most places do not have a doctor.
People are forced to pay a large amount of money for care at a private clinic or depend on the shaman.
Santosh Singh from the village of Sarai Jairam said, “My 10-month-old child suffered a fever for the past four days.
We got drugs for him from a private clinic because there were no doctors in the center of the government.
On Thursday night, his condition deteriorated.
He died on his way To SN Medical College (SNMC).
“Virendra Singh from Modipura Village under the Block Puppet said,” Most of the people who suffer from high fever depend on the shaman because of the full leader.
” Each family has members or two who suffer from high fever, said Mukesh Chaudhary from Midkoli Village.
The public health center in the village does not recognize patients while the District Hospital and SNMC are 60 km away from there, he added.
Meanwhile, three more patients gave up on high fever during the last 24 hours in the Firozabad District, two on Etu, one in KasGanj and one in Mainpuri.
Agra Division contributed more than 5,000 cases of dengue fever since August with the Firozabad district registering a maximum at 4,580 cases, Mathura 610 cases, Agra 250 and the Mainpuri 120 case.
