NEW DELHI: Triumph Motorcycles on Tuesday internationally introduced the 2021 avatar of Rate Twin, that has gained additional power output, enhanced cycle components, and small styling upgrades.
Launched in 2018, the Rate Twin is Triumph’s contemporary traditional performance roadster.
Notably upgraded for 2021, the Rate Twin’s characterful 1200-cc high electricity Bonneville twin motor has greater performance, reduced emissions, and so is Euro 5 compliant.
The engine now provides 3PS more peak electricity with 100PS in 7,250rpm, and more electricity in the mid century compared to last generation.
The 2021 Rate Twin also includes a more aerodynamic torque curve, with a peak torque of 112Nm coming greater than 500rpm lower down the rev range in comparison to the prior generation.
The responsiveness of this Speed Dial engine continues to be improved, as a result of a 17 percent decrease in inertia acquired with a brand new lightweight crankshaft and alternator.
New for 2021, the Rate Twin comes outfitted with high specification upside 43mm Marzocchi front brakes with cartridge damping.
All these are paired to the dual rear suspension components with adjustable spring preload.
Braking performance is enhanced with new high specification Brembo 4-piston M50 radial monobloc leading brake calipers and double 320mm Brembo discs.
Together with the Nissin 2-piston floating back caliper using 220mm disc, also ABS fitted as usual, these provide a more powerful original braking-bite, much more better and feel fade attributes.
New Metzeler Racetec RR Cabinets are fitted as standard to its 2021 version, together with new cast aluminum wheels, 17-inch on both the front and back, using a lightweight 12-spoke layout.
Along with the newest 12-spoke throw wheels and double upswept sporty silencers with brushed stainless headers, the pace Twin is flanked with its signature-shaped 14.5-litre tank together with knee indents, amazing bar end mirrors, sculpted side panels along with trendy seat seat.
Premium finishes and details are harmonised throughout the bicycle, such as brushed aluminum front and rear mudguards with fresh mounts, also brushed aluminum side finishers and heel protects.
Added high quality touches and details are seen at the newest anodised headlamp mounts to enhance the stained headlamp bowl, classic Monza fuel cap and clean anodised aluminum swingarm.
