Jaipur: Covid cases in Jaipur have increased over the past few days.
Eighty-eight people were found infected with Covid-19 in the city in the last 24 hours, from 13 they reported from the district prison in Ghat Gate.
In just two days, district prisons have reported 21 cases, all of them are prisoners.
No staff found infected with a virus.
However, the Ministry of Health officials had collected samples from staff on Wednesday.
“We are conducting contact with contacts because cases have been found from prison,” said Dr.
Narrettam Sharma, Head of Medical Health Officer, Jaipur (I).
The first case of prison was reported when several inmates in Barak complained of flu-like symptoms like cold and coughing.
“We did a prisoner sample when they reported the symptoms of Covid-19, two days ago.
We found eight inmates infected with the virus yesterday (Tuesday),” said Dr.

Dinesh Pilanya, Nodal Officer, Covid Care Center (District Jail), Gate Ghat.
Medical staff at the prison pharmacy swung actions and isolate eight Covid cases from other inmates.
They conducted contact contacts from Eigh inmates and collected samples from 27 other inmates.
“We received 27 sample testing reports taken from prisoners and from 13 they were found to be infected today,” said Pilakan.
During the first wave, the prison had reported an increase in the number of Covid-19 cases and at that time the Covid treatment center was developed.
The same Covid Care Hospital is now used to keep infected inmates under isolation.
Health care staff from prison pharmacies take care of 21 patients.
According to the doctor, they all have mild symptoms and no one has complications.
The health department official said that currently prison has 450 inmates and they maintain their health care and collect random samples from them.
Eighty-eight people were tested positive for Covid-19 in the city in 24 hours, while from the country, 131 people were found infected with viruses, active cases had violated 500 signs in the state when touching 527 numbers.
