Vadodara: A total of 22 candidates are in a commotion for nine seats in teachers other than the Professor category for the election of the new Senate Senate M.
A total of 27 candidates have submitted a nomination for 18 seats in this category, the general election scheduled for December 29.
Sans every nomination submitted in this category, a chair that represents four faculties – management studies, journalism and communication, Baroda Sansechrit Mahavidyalaya and Oriental Institute – have fallen blank.
Five teachers from other faculties, on the other hand, have won irrespective elections.

Mrudula Trivedi was in Medan.
There are three candidates each involving one seat representing the Faculty of Technology and Engineering (FTE) and the Faculty of Fine Arts (FFA).
From FTE, Sunil Kahar, Vijay Parmar and Nikul Patel are in Fray while on FFA, Sunil Darji, Gohil Pramul and Arvind Suthar compete for one chair.
In other faculties, two candidates will fight each other.
From the Faculty of Arts, Dr.
Shweta Jejurkar and Dr.
Dilip Kataria have submitted their nomination while Dr.
Balkrishna Shah and Dr.
Rumbal Shah has submitted a nomination from the Faculty of Science.
Likewise, Dr.
Rahul Parmar and Dr.
B G Rathod have submitted a nomination from the Faculty of Medicine, Dr.
Swati Dhruv and Sarjoo Patel have submitted a nomination from the Family Faculty and Community Sciences while Bhavik Chauuhan and Dr.
Prashant Murumkar have submitted a nomination from the Faculty of Pharmacy.
Two teachers – Sandeep Gokhle and Chetan Somani – have submitted a nomination from Polytechnic College.
Supervision of the nomination form will be held on Wednesday while the last withdrawal day is December 13.
