Rajkot: Local Crime Branch (LCB) Jamnagar Police on Thursday morning saved a 25-year-old woman who was kidnapped by her brother-in-law and other attackers the day before.
Police Jamnagar arrested Kirti Galchar aged 39 years, residents of Vavi Morbi Village, Pranjivan Vadsola (40), Minal Tota (25) and a child from Jodia-Morbi Highway.
Hashmukh Kanana other defendants managed to escape from that place.
Asha’s saved girl, a resident of Limbuda Village in Jodia Taluka from Jamnagar, was kidnapped by her brother-in-law Galchar and the others when she traveled to Dhrol with her cousin Nilesh.
“Sister Sorest Asha Sarda, who died of cancer in 2020, married Galchar and the couple also had a 12-year-old daughter.
After Sarda’s death, Galchar insisted marrying Asha.
But Asha Ramaben’s mother rejected its proposal,” Police said.
“We have ordered the defendant under various parts of the Criminal Code including 365 (kidnapping), 341 (wrong restraints), 279 (driving rash or driving in a public way), and 337 (causing injured by the actions that endanger other life or safety), among others , “Police Officials said.
