Vadodara / Anand: Gujarat Governor Acharya Devvrat on Wednesday asked agricultural scientists to work on the invention to make agriculture easier and help farmers turn to natural ways of cultivation.
Meanwhile, overcoming a convocation ceremony at Agricultural University (AAU), Devvrat highlighted the need to switch to natural farming as a way to avoid the adverse effects of chemicals used in conventional agriculture.
Old seven students pocketed 58 gold medals, cash medals and cash prizes at the 18th Annual Meeting of AAU which were held virtually.
As many as 549 students including graduates and graduate are degrees given during the convocation ceremony.
Devvrat said nature had been severely damaged due to the use of large chemicals on agriculture.
“If we turn to natural farming, we will be able to protect nature and maintain good health.
This is an urgent time to avoid the adverse effects of chemicals,” Governor, who also chancellor from all state universities.
