Kolkata: At least four people, including three of the families, are deposited in the district of 24 North Parganas West Bengal on Tuesday because most countries remain flooded with heavy rains, officials said.
A 15-year-old boy died of an electric shock while returning home from school money in Titagarh, he said.
A man, his wife and son died in the government housing complex in Khardah.
The man was electrocuted after touching his flip-controlled flat floor which was enhanced by an open cable, and his wife and son also died while trying to save him, said the State Disaster Management Department official.
However, their four-year-old son survived the incident.
He shouted for help from a neighbor, who took the trio to the hospital, where the doctor said they were taken dead.
