Rajkot: Three family members from Kutch, who settled in Mumbai for years, were killed in an accident on the Ahmedabad-Kutch highway early on Wednesday.
The five families have begun for their original Desalpar Village in Rapar Taluka to attend religious and wedding functions on Wednesday.
However, when trying to overtake, their SUV crashed into a trailer near the city of Halvad.
Their SUV turned the highway and plunged into the roadside.
The deceased was identified as Saamun Patel, his son Ramesh and Monghi Patel.
Saunu Vasta Patel’s husband and Monghi’s son Rutwik was injured in the accident, said the Halvad police station.
