Letter: Three people were booked on Friday for allegedly replacing high-quality coal 63-ton worth Rs 5 lakh with a waste dust during transportation from Hazira to Jhagadia in Bhajadia.
According to the police, the defendant took two days to cover a distance of 86km which could be covered in three hours in a normal situation.
Fraud complaints come at the time of coal prices have soared because of the short supply.
Based on the complaint submitted by Yogesh Patel, the owner of Ayesha Transport, the police ordered the owner of Kiran Transportation, the exact patel, and two truck drivers – Sanje Sahu and Rajesh Sahu – for criminal violations above the Hazira police station.
The police have arrested Sanjay and will arrest him after the Covid-19 test.
Two other accused had not been arrested.
In his penis, Patel claimed that he had a contract to transport coal from Port Adani in Hazira to a different location and for it he hired a truck from a larger transfer.
On October 3, he hired two trucks from the accusation of the exact patel and the driver collected a total of 63.46 metric tons of coal in two trucks from the port.
They should have reached the UPL limited factory in the Jhagadia on the same day, but only reached on October 5 night.
Then, the consignment recipient told the supplier that they only received garbage and garbage dust and not the quality coal they did.
Immediately Patel was told about cheating suspected and he approached the police to file a complaint.
“This is a case of cheating and the defendant replacing high-quality coal with dirt and waste.
This is a matter of investigation that since how long fraud continues,” police said.
