Daltonganj: A three and a half year old girl was raped by a small boy in the area under the Rehla police station in Palamu on Thursday night, police said on Friday.
The defendant, who was the 14-year-old boy, has been detained.
“He was produced before the Juji Justice Council on Friday and after it was sent to the correctional home,” said officers at the Rehal Police Station, said Namdhari Rajah.
Survivors of rape and defendants both include caste scheduled and they are reportedly related to each other.
The police said their parents were migrant workers and they were currently working in Gujarat.
The girl was taken to MMCH in Daltonganj where the doctor continued to close the watch on his health.
A police officer said the rape victim had proof of sexual attack on him.
The police have slapped the part of the Pocso law and part 376 IPC in the boy.
