Tirupati: Three young people from Rajasthan lived in the local Jain Temple in Chinnatumbalam Village sank at the low-level Canal Tungabhadra Project in Kurnool Regency on Monday night.
According to Peddatumbalam Si G Chandra, a group of five young people who moved from Rajasthan to Chinnatumbalam because the construction of Jain Temple had lived and took refuge in the temple where the temple itself.
On Monday night after finishing their work, five young people went to wash clothes and spend time at a low-level canal tungabhadra project nearby.
Among the groups identified as Sunil (18) accidentally fell into the canal, Bhavani (19) and Vinod (28) who tried to save their friends also fell into the canal and was washed.
Peddatumbalam police rushed to the place and took the bodies of Bhavani and Vinod with the help of swimmers and locals experts.
The police have not found Sunil’s body but are afraid that he will also die.
Police Peddatumbalam has registered a case and then investigated.
