Prasagraj: The re-emergence of the Covid-19 crisis has once again placed the Ministry of Health officials in Overdrive to ensure the right treatment, care and isolation of patients to prevent the spread of further infection.
With Sangam City reported more than 90 active cases in the last four days, the department had mobilized 33 fast response teams (RRTs) including 13 for cities and 20 for rural areas for inspection and care at the patient’s home.
House isolation is given only after the RRT inspects the patient’s house and approves facilities, the condition of life and the presence of caregivers.
Senior Medical Officer (SMO) and Nodal Officer (RRT) Dr.
Anupam Dwivedi told TII that only asymptomatic patients under 60 years can choose home isolation if they have the facilities needed at home and can avoid contact with other family members.
For home isolation, the patient must have a home quarantine kit consisting of pulse oximeter, thermometer, mask, sterile gloves etc.
The team after visiting the patient compiles details including the patient’s name, age, gender, no (number of monitoring committees), cellphone number, date when they are tested positive.
