Mysuru: Announcing that the District Administration will require a strict Covid guideline in public places, Deputy Commissioner Bagadi Gautham said more than 33,000 residents in Mysuru have not taken Covid vaccines.
Bagadi Gautham reviewed preparations to handle challenges during the possibility of the third wave of Covid, on Monday.

On Sundays only, 398 individuals of a total of 7,070 samples were tested positively and of them, 60 cases were children under 18 years.
In last week, 42,584 tests were carried out in all districts and 1,064 found positive.
The average front level is 2.5%.
“Still, 33,000 residents are hesitant or reluctant to take vaccines in the district.

Briefing on preparation, Deputy Commissioner said 2,048 beds were reserved in 14 government hospitals, 1,661 beds in 44 private hospitals, and 2,671 beds in 21 Covid care centers throughout the district.
Overall, 6,380 beds are available for covid treatments.
“About 830 beds are reserved for pediatric use.
If necessary, the district administration is ready and able to increase the number of beds with another 15-20% depending on the kasel,” he added.
DC also advises the public not to panic.
