Ahmedabad: After a high of 54 days in a new case on Thursday, Gujarat reported 17 new Covid cases on Friday, a drop of 35%.
However, active cases continued to increase for the third consecutive day reaching 145.
New cases covering seven of letters, four of Ahmedabad, three of Valsad, and each of the city of Rajkot and Kutch, and Kutch.
Urban areas contribute 76% of new cases.
The Ahmedabad district has 31 active cases, while number 33 for letters, 29 for Vadodara, and eight for Rajkot.
As many as 5.24 lakh people have been vaccinated in the last 24 hours, taking the total amount covered to 5.88 crores.
From active cases, four people were in ventilators in all states, while in Ahmedabad two patients were received at a private hospital.
