4 arrested for moral policing in M’luru

Mangaluru: South Mangalore Police have arrested two bus drivers and two conductors in connection with the incident of moral policing reported on Friday.
The defendant was the Prakash and Ranjith bus driver and Raghavendra and Pavan conductors.
The statement of the victims has also been recorded.
A video of two students, a son and women, allegedly has different religions and sitting on the bus, has become a viral.
In the video, a group was seen asking boys and women who studied private universities in Mangaluru, and distanced the boy with their hands, and accused them of making a mistake on the bus.
As soon as the police knew about the incident, they launched the hunt for accused.
Learned that they took a private bus in Mangaluru, and was traveling towards Udupi.
While the girl from Udupi, the boy was from Shivamogga.
The police said that the defendant initially asked the victims about their religion.
The victims told police that the defendant had leveled unnecessary charges against them.
No one will misbheeave on the bus where a driver sits and is another commuter too, they said.
The case has made a registration of the South Mangaluru police station under various IPC parts.
