Ludhiana: The police have ordered four criminals after they kidnapped the shopkeeper in the Gyaspura area after asking for “Hafta” (weekly extortion money).
The complainant, Sanjay Upadhyay from Mahalaxmi Nagar in Gyaspura, who runs a wholesale store four people who came to collect Hafta from him on Monday night around 4pm, kidnapped him in their car.
He added that they took him to the empty plot in Shimlapuri, where they hit him and forced his son to transfer RS 10,000 in their account through Paytm.
Police officials said the Sahnewal police station had registered a case against four unknown criminals and started their search.
