Chandigarh: The city on Monday reported four Covid-19 deaths, took the number to 43 in January and the total number became 1,122.
All victims except one vaccinated.
They are 71-year-old women from the 50 sector who have acute respiratory pressure syndrome; A 63-year-old man from sector 20 has type 1 respiratory failure; A 40-year-old woman from Dhana suffered congestive heart failure; And a 55-year-old man from Dhana has liver disease – he is not vaccinated.
The city reported 344 new cases, increasing the calculation to 89,488, with 3,228 active cases.
564 patients were sent back, raising the amount of recovery to 85,138.
Testing has decreased, which has increased the level of participation to 11.5% compared to 9.3% on Sundays.
The majority of Covid cases have been asymptomatic in the third wave compared to others, a health expert said.
“Super spreaders recover quickly but affect them with low immunity.
That’s why the number of deaths does not decrease despite a decrease in infection level,” they said.
In addition, there are accidental viral findings in severe pain patients who are brought to emergencies and thus health experts do not label the cause of death as covid.
“In PGI, we have found patients who have comorbidity and tested during reception for Covid.
This is a patient who is sick,” said a doctor at the Institute.
