Jaisalmer: Four worshipers including two women died while the other five were injured in a collision between the SUV and a truck on Jalan Raya Bhunka Bhagat in the Area of Police Station Sindhari Barmer on Monday.
Nine family members, after visiting Jasol Majisa Temple in Balotara, Barmer returned to Desesa in Gujarat in the SUV.
What was injured was taken to the Sindhari hospital.
According to Sindhari Sho Baldev Ram, nine family members from Desesa City came to Jasol and when returning home met with the accident.
Their vehicle collided with a truck that came from the opposite direction.
The truck driver escaped away to the back of the truck.
Sho said that the two worshipers died in place while two died on the way to the hospital.
The accident prohibits congestion on the highway.
The deceased includes Gomti, Chena Bhai, Bhawna and Kana Bhai, all Desesa residents.
He said Devaram (55), Kapoor Bhai (40), Bharat Bhai (45), Mohan (20) and Himanshi (17) were those who were injured.
