Lucknow: With more than one crore vaccination in the last two weeks and more than 14 lakh jab managed on Monday, Uttar Pradesh became the first country in the country with more than seven crore people who were vaccinated.
Data from the Cowin Portal shows that 7.01 crore people in this country have taken a vaccine dose.
According to official data, a total of 15.04 crore people above must be vaccinated which means more than 46.6% of the eligible population is now fully vaccinated.
In the national description, Uttar Pradesh is now home to nearly 13% of a fully vaccinated population.
Overall, 19.59 Crore doses have been given in the state which is the highest in this country.
In Maharashtra, the nearest competitor, 13.16 crore doses have been given.
Maharashtra was attended by West Bengal (10.28 Crore), Madhya Pradesh (10.16 Crore) and Bihar (9.77 Crore).
An official statement said aggressive vaccination was an integral part of the government comprehensive strategy for tusing the coronavirus.
Among all districts in Uttar Pradesh, Lucknow Tops in terms of total doses managed and fully vaccinated.
State capital was followed by Prayagraj, Azamgarh, Bareilly and Jaunpur in the top five districts in terms of total doses provided.
Lucknow has the maximum number of full vaccinated people, followed by Ghaziabad, Agra, Kanpur, Gautam Budh Nagar and Jaunpur.
Meanwhile, health officials urged people to comply with the Covid-19 prevention protocol despite being vaccinated because the risk of infection remains high.
A total of 40 cases and nine recovery were reported in the last 24 hours.
With this, the number of active cases above rose to 324 with Lucknow (63), Ghaziabad (57) and Gautam BDH Nagar (56) accounting for maximum load.
