Vadodara: The city and district see 470 new Covid-19 cases on Monday which took the total number of active cases to 1,653.
The number of new Covid-19 Cares registered on the day crossing the number of new cases registered on May 28.
New cases registered from 8,908 tests conducted in the city and district.
This test causes the highest number of cases of the western zone of the city which has 113 new cases.
This was followed by the South Zone which has 101 new cases.
The East Zone and the North Zone have 99 and 97 new cases.
The affected area includes Jetalpur, Bajwa, Warasiya, Diwalipura, Savad, Gotri, Chhani, Yamuna Mill, Tandalja, Sama, Akota, Harni, Sudamapuri, Fatehpura, Ramdevnagar, Manjalpur, Bapod and Waghodiya.
After leaving 170 people on Monday, 1,653 active cases remained.
A total of 1,501 active cases are in house isolation.
Those who are hospitalized include five on ventilator or bipap machines, 12 in the ICU without the need for ventilation devices and 47 requires oxygen support.
88 patients remaining have mild symptoms.
