Vadodara: The surge in cases of dengue fever in the city continued with 48 new cases detected on Monday.
A total of 960 people were found suffering from a disease transmitted through vectors so far.
New cases detected from the 110 sample test on Monday.
The maximum case was reported from the Gotri and Panchwati areas each with five patients.
Four cases each found in the Panigati area, Bapod and Ramdevnagar.
In addition to dengue fever, the Chikungunya case was also reported in the city.
Of the 92 tests conducted, 29 was found positive for Chikungunya.
So far, 517 Chikungunya cases have been reported in the city.
There are no new malaria cases found in the test conducted in the city on Monday.
So far 60 malaria cases have been detected in the city.
At the current level, dengue fever threatens to exceed the number of cases registered in 2019.
In 2019, 1,247 dengue cases are registered in the city which is the highest since 2017.
