Chatra: Five cheats were arrested because prospective work cheats in Chatra and elsewhere, police said on Tuesday.
During the interrogation, those who were arrested admitted to collect around Hospital 1 Crore from aspirants.
The police are looking for three more legs in crime.
Those who were arrested were identified as Ajay Maurya and Shubham Tripathy from Indali Village in Sultanpur District in Uttar Pradesh, Amit Kumar, Amrjeet Kumar and Rishikesh Kumar from Bhagalpur in Bihar.
SDO Avinash Kumar said after the police supervisor, Rakesh Ranjan, received a tip-off of these five criminals, who cheated on promising them by promising work on the train, the Ministry of Forestry and FCI, he formed a special team to arrest them.
“The team stormed sore on Monday and arrested the fifth.
Three more identified and will be arrested soon.
They claim to cheat about 30 young people very promising to provide work and collect more than Rs 1 Crore from the victims,” Kumar added.
