Vadodara: Since March this year, at least five suicide incidents or efforts to kill themselves by young tribal pairs believed in love have left many who are very surprised about how the outside world has a negative impact on the habit and belief in Gujarat dominated by the tribe.

Likewise, a boy or a woman cannot marry someone who has the same family name as his mother’s uncle.
“For tribes, everyone has a family name as their ‘Mama’ (my mother’s uncle), is considered the uncle of their mother.
In such cases, marriage is impossible,” he said.
“Children are exposed to the modern world and sometimes affected to adopt such extreme steps.
They must discuss the problem with their parents or even teachers instead of ending life,” Bhedi added.
