5 DISS shows the first dose coverage higher than the country’s average

MySuru: Five districts in South Karnataka have achieved progress outside the country’s average in Covid First-dose vaccination despite challenges in inoculation encouragement in tribal hamlets, remote villages and densely populated areas.
The average state for the first dose vaccination for those aged 18 years or more than 101% and among them, 91% is fully vaccinated, according to Covid war space data.
MySuru, Mandya, Hassan, Kodagu, and Chamarajanagar have reached more, with 101% to 103% of the first dose vaccination and 94% to 99% of the second dose vaccination.
Chamarajanagar has mounced 90% of the group targeted with both doses, which is only 1% behind the country’s average.
Kodagu has identified 4 LAKH beneficiaries but has provided a 4.1 lakh first dose which means the coverage of 103%.
Health workers said that as recipients traveled out of the district to work, there had been a delay in the second dose of vaccination.
KM Vishvesharaiah, District Health Officer Chamarajanagar, told TII that they faced challenges in tribal and remote villages in investing beneficiaries with the second dose.
“Some beneficiaries have migrated out of the district to find work and we cannot vaccinate them.
We also have information that they have taken vaccines elsewhere but we have no confirmation.
We have a 20,000 tribal population.
