Chandigarh: The Punjab High Court and Haryana are ready to get five more judges with the central government have completed the names of five lawyers, JS Bedi, Pankaj Jain, Vikas Suri, Vinod Sharma Bhardwaj and Sandeep Maudgil for HC heights.
The source confirms that their appointment order is expected to be released at the end of this week.
After official notifications regarding their appointment, the total number of judges in HC will reach 50.
Previous on September 1, Collegium SC has recommended the names of four other HC lawyers including Senior JS Bedi Advocates, Vinod Sharma, Vikas Suri and Vinod Sharma Bhardwah for heights as a HC judge.
However, the name of Advocate Sandeep Moudgil for height as HC judge, however, was cleaned by the center on September 29.
At present their name is delayed before the Government Government for the final decision.
Sources, however, are cleaned that the center has cleared their names and formal orders regarding the appointment they will be released soon.
Meanwhile, the source in the HC administration also added that the oath ceremony from a new judge could take place on Friday or Monday.
At present only 45 judges working in the Punjab High Court and Haryana and the power of judges approved in HC are 85.
