Fatehpur / Pratapggarh: Five people were killed and because many were injured in the incident of a house and a separate wall collapse in Fatehpur and Pratapgarh because of heavy rain, police said on Thursday.
Tiya (18) and her sister of music (3), Rakesh Lodhi’s daughter, was buried under their ‘Kutcha’ house debris after it collapsed in the village of Gaunti Mohammadpur in Fatehpur district on Wednesday night, police said.
Both of them died in place, Sho of Sultanpur Ghosh Station Police Arvind Kumar Gautam said.
In other incidents in the district, their couples and daughters came (2) were sleeping when the house of ‘Kutcha’ they collapsed in Mardaha village on Wednesday night, Sho Kalyanpur police station, said Amit Kumar Mishra.
The neighbors rushed to their rescue but could not save the girl, said Sho, added that the pair was sustainable injury and treated at a government hospital.
In the village of Gode District Pratapgarh under the Kotwali police station area, one person was killed and three others were injured when the wall of a house collapsed when they slept.
Inspector responsible for the police station, Ravindra Rai said Ramzan (18) died in the incident while his sister and two children were injured and claimed to be to the hospital in the same incident in Gahrichak Village in the Kandhai POLICE area, Urmila Misra (55) died when home ‘Kutcha’ collapsed because of rain, said Inspector Neeraj Walia.
