Washington / Dhaka: The US has offered a prize of up to $ 5 million for information about Hien’s terrorist attacks in Bangladesh in 2015 which left Bangladesh-America Blogger Avijit Roy dead and his wife Rafida Bonya Ahmed was seriously injured, the State Department had announced.
Roy, a US citizen who born in 42-year-old Bangladesh, was attacked by the attackers with machetes and hacked to death by Islamic militants just after he left the book exhibition at Dhaka University on February 26, 2015.
His wife Rafida was also injured in the attack.
He is a critic of religious fundamentalism that is blunt.
“The US Department of Diplomatic Security Service, through its prize for the Justice Office, offers prizes for information about terrorist attacks in Dhaka, Bangladesh, which made us an Avijit Roy citizen and his wife, Rafida injury,” The US State Department said in a statement.
“This investigation remains open, and we are looking for information that will help law enforcement agencies in bringing to the court of the perpetrators of the terrorist attack.
A total of six people were charged and punished in Bangladesh.
Two convicted conspirators, Syed Ziaul Haque and Akram Hussain were tried in Absentia and remain in general, “said the US State Department.
The Ansarullah Bangla team, a terrorist group inspired by Al-Qaeda based in Bangladesh, claimed responsibility for the attack.
