VADODARA: Sociology department of the Faculty of Art University M held a department-level online placement drive for the third year of Ba Fainting and MA student.
“It is a unique alumni interaction drive.
One of the alumni of our department which is now a recruiter in a leading company has approached us with a proposal to drive online placement,” said Dr.
Virendra Singh, coordinator and responsible for cellular training and alumni, department.
Of the 20 participating students, 15 were interviewed.
“Five students were selected and had been offered around Rs 4.32 lakh as a cost for the company, plus Rs 1 Lakh when joining a bonus.
They will also get the life insurance cover RS 20 Lakh Covid and Rs 5 Lakh from health insurance for themselves and five Dependents regardless of other benefits and facilities, “Singh added.
“We also plan to introduce bridge courses for students from other domains.
Also in the pipe is a lab skills and training programs to equip students with better industrial and organizational understanding,” he said.
