Agra: Five government elementary school teachers in Agra Regency have been suspended for “unethical behavior” after a video shown to them dancing to film songs in the classroom run online, an official said on Sunday.
Teachers, who were employed in the Department of Basic Education, were suspended on Saturday.
Videos of the dancing teachers in class, who did not have students, appeared online on Thursday.
Following this, the Department of Basic Education, Agra, arranged inquiry.
“All five teacher assistants and principals in elementary school in Sadhan in the Achhnera block were asked to submit their clarification.
Four teachers answered, but people did not,” the Basic said Shiksha Adhikari Singh told PTI.

He said all five teachers were suspended after their clarification was found to want.
Singh said according to Dinesh Chandra Parihar, the principal at school, the video was shot on March 17 and he was not present that day because he went to attend educational workshops at the block resource center.
“The clarification proposed by four teachers is unsatisfactory.
They are suspended for harming the image of the Ministry of Education.
Their behavior is unethical.
They should not act like this during school in class,” Singh added.
