Ranchi: The Heavy Engineering Corporation Ltd (HEC) on Monday released 50% of June wages to its workers and promised to pay the balance at the end of this month but the workers refused to call from their 12 day tools.
The strike dropped to at least two to three months of wages released in full.
Talking to Toi, Union President Hata Mazdoor Bhawan Singh said, “We are starving today and leave without wages since June this year.
Payment of 50% of June 2021 Wages are only a drop in the ocean.
Workers will work 24×7 to ensure that all work orders are Pending, which is under various stages of completion, executed if the wages of at least two to three months are paid.
“The workers are in a strike that is not limited from 8am from December 2 sector.
