Greater Noida: A 50-year-old Dalit was raped by four men in Gunpoint in the forest in the Jewar area on Sunday.
The police said that the incident occurred around 9am on Sunday when the woman went to the forest to get animal feed.
The four defendants were there.
They raped him and escaped from the place, police said.
Survivor managed to reach his house and narrated his nephew’s trial, who complained to the police.
Senior police officers reached the place with a dog team.
Sho Jewar Umesh Bahadur Singh said, “We took him to the Primary Jewar Health Center (PHC) but then he was referred to the district hospital in sector 30 for higher treatment.” He added that the condition of the woman was stable and they would immediately record his statement.
“We have formed three teams to arrest the culprit and all defendants escape now,” Sho said.
Sho added that the investigation revealed that Mahendra (27), who came from the same village, was present in the forest with three friends and grazed their livestock.
“Allegedly they took him to an isolated place in Gunpoint and raped him.
We also knew that Mahendra was addicted to drugs.” On the basis of complaints, FIR is registered under section 352 (punishment for violence or criminal vice versa rather than in major provocation), 376D (punishment for rape ), 506 (punishment for criminal intimidation) from the Indian criminal code and the relevant part of SC / ST Act.
