Mangaluru: With the state government decided to reopen preprimary schools – which were closed for almost 18 months – from Monday, a group of volunteers had advanced to contribute e-plaster to 500 students on children’s day (November 14).
This initiative, on the line of Indian digital campaign, is the idea of security experts Cyber Ananth Prabhu G and his friend Azzfar Razack and aims to introduce technology to children at a young age.
Prabhu said there were several reasons to donate electronic LCD writing tablets.
“Parents constantly request tips on how to limit the use of cellphones between children, so that they feel that the initial acquaintance with technology can prevent children from abusing it at the next stage.
This will also help students if they are allergic to lime , what is needed when using ordinary slate, “he said.
Last year, Prabhu and Razack had launched the ‘gift a’ toy ‘program, and since then Prabhu traveled with toys at the boot of his car, so he could give them to children who need.
“When shopping for toys, I found this tablet writing and looked for them on the internet.
Because it was available for Rs 250, I decided to donate them to 38 children in Balawadi, which was close to my old house near Pandeshwar.
When the shop owner learned about That and the reason why I did it, he offered this device for Rs 195 / Slate.
We decided to give around 250 e-plaster to children, “Prabhu said.
After Prabhu wrote about campaigns on social media, many people all over the world advanced to contribute.
Donations transferred directly to the owner’s bank account.
Prabhu said social workers from Bengaluru, Lakshadweep and Yadgir have also decided to introduce this campaign in their district.
“Parlate might survive at least one year.
We plan to distribute e-plaster to at least 10 Angganwadis, and artist Anudeep Karkera has volunteered to do a drawing class in this streetwadis for three days.
There will be a contest in each of the 10 widewadists on each Children’s day, where students will be asked to draw Indian maps in Eslate.
The best will be appreciated, “Prabhu said.
Meanwhile, 40 e-Slates were sent to Joida in the district of Uttara Kannada.
This will be given to children participating in ‘Vana Chethana’, special education programs for tribal children, led by Dinesh Holla from Sahyadri Sanchaya.
