New York: At least 5,700 flights have been canceled throughout the world during the long Christmas weekend and thousands of others were delayed, a tracking website reported Saturday, because the omicron variant was very contagious carrying a headache to travel to millions.
According to Flightware, more than 2,500 flights were rubbed around the world on Christmas Day, including more than 870 originating from or to the United States airport, with around 4,200 delays at 1430 GMT.
On Friday, there are around 2,400 cancellations and 11,000 delays, while the cancellation of Sunday has reached 800.

Likewise, Delta breathes at least 280 Saturday flights and has canceled 64 on Sunday, says it has “exhausted all options and resources – including routes and replacing aircraft and crew to cover scheduled flying”.
“We apologize to our customers for the delay on their vacation trips,” said the company.
